shred-day10

Yay! Done with Day 10! Enjoy your weekend everyone (of course keep shreddin it up!)  and keep up the great work!

By the way, I’m creating these videos with the Flip Camcorder – a really simple way to upload videos to YouTube and Facebook. You can also easily send via email cards to someone. Very fun! A must have if you are doing video by yourself (of yourself) is this cute little Flip Tripod

  1. Did Level 1 today!

  2. Love the video. Day 10 was completed this morning and I was sleepy, I won’t lie. I am working until midnight tonight so I knew there was no way I was going to get it done tonight so I had to just get up and do it.

    Thanks for the accountability!

  3. I made it through! Here is the blog:

Welcome to all the new folks!!!
    See you tomorrow!

  4. Way to go Vicky! Thanks for posting. πŸ™‚

Thanks Kim! New vid location today! Kim, your comments are an example of what I love about you SO MUCH! That is serious dedication. I know the accountability does help for sure (it’s helping me too) BUT what I want you to realize is – it takes this same kind of dedication/commitment to lose the kind of weight that you and I (and many others) have to lose. AND girl – you DO have that! Stop and look at what you’re doing here….bigger than just the shred – it’s the commitment to changing your life and you are doing that right now. We WILL be celebrating victories, both short-term goals reached and long-term ultimate goals! You’re my hero of the day! Much love! P πŸ™‚

Ali, what can I say? You are the picture of winning with exercise – your lady guns and all! Enjoying your blog posts. πŸ™‚

  5. Paula got me wishing for flannel workout gear this morning! Anyone have an in with a Lululemon athletic clothing designer?

Ladies, look at where we are this Friday. We’re a pretty impressive team. 1/3 down, 2/3 left! Day 10 went pretty well after one slight blip at the start.

So now I’m reconsidering whether I should be wearing my MBT sneakers during the shred. I’m not that graceful to begin with. And as Ali noted yesterday, it’s pretty hard to balance during the shoulder press/kick combo.

Enjoy the rest of your Friday shredders. :0)

  6. Flannel workout gear! Love it! Darn, now ya got me wanting to get back into my pj’s again! πŸ˜‰ We are an impressive team…I agree! AND so are you Lori! Enjoy your Friday as well!

  7. No flannel workout gear for me today! We had a warm one and it just made the hill climbing tougher. I added some stair climbing today though! Don’t know what possessed me. They were there. LOL!

  8. Okay. I haven’t commented in a quite some time, probably due to the fact that people will be quite disappointed in me. (As an oldest child, I hate disappointing people and not living up to their expectations…) Anyhow, I shredded the first three days, and the first weekend was really difficult. The first Friday of the challenge was the end of the quarter at my school, and as you saw in my video, I was working on a lot of correcting and grading. That work continued through the weekend… On Sunday, I worked six hours in the morning, from 7 a.m. till noon. I was so tired, I slept for four hours, and woke up, made myself a sandwich and worked until 2 a.m. The next two days were 12 hour days at school and then my mom came to visit. She encouraged me by getting me out for a half-hour walk. Yesterday and today I have continued to walk, which by my chart that I made out has helped me lose three pounds in the last nine days. So even within all the apparent failures, there are some positives. I want to dedicate myself to walking to school this week, even though we have parent/teacher conferences in the evening for three hours and I know that there will be at least three 11 hour days. Now, as I just verbally vomited all over you guys, the short story is I want you to know that I’m still alive. I hope to get to shredding again, but right now I’m just really focusing on getting *some* kind of activity in every day.
Thanks for all your support and all the Twitter mentions. It helps remind me to stay on task.

  9. Cynthia – great work on the stairs! πŸ˜‰

  10. Rachel, thanks so much for checking in. πŸ˜‰ Please hear me…No one is here to judge you at all, ok. I appreciate your honesty and willingness to check in with us. You may have missed some of what I was saying about this challenge back at the beginning – it’s not necessarily about the 30 day shred (altho that has been great for sure!). It’s really about forward motion for everyone as individuals and I would guess that the shred commitment could be too much for some. (because of physical capabilities, time commitments or whatever) I’m completely cool with you knowing that we’re here to encourage you in whatever moving forward means to YOU – if that is some movement every day and that’s a victory for you – I am hi-5ing you girl!

If that is you recognizing a busy time in your life and dealing with that in healthy ways – could be another victory. You’ve not disappointed me at all.(am guessing everyone will agree) Here to support you and encourage, not condemn. Deal? πŸ™‚

Keep talking with us – here, Twitter, FB – we’ll get there! and we’ll be doing the victory dance with you. Have a great weekend!

  11. Hey guys! I forgot to comment. I did my workout yesterday and today. I’m still a day behind everyone else, but I’m still here and doing it!!!

Great job everybody! You all rock.

  12. Yay Amy! πŸ™‚ Thanks for posting…have a great weekend!
