It’s back!!!
The 30 Day Challenge was the first team challenge we did here at Celebrate Weight Loss and it was such a great success, we’re doin it again!
What: A 30 day commitment to do Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred workout
When: May 3-June 1
What you need to participate:
- the desire to create change in your life
- the determination to stick with it for 30 days
- the heart to encourage others involved in the challenge
Shopping list:
- Jillian Michaels - 30 Day Shred
- Set of 3-Pound Dumbbells
- Exercise Mat (if exercising on a hard floor)
Why I Think This Challenge Is For You:
- There are 3 levels to choose from - I say we ALL can do level 1!
- The actual routine is 20 MINUTES! (allow 30 with warm-up/cool-down)
- Only failure will be to NOT DO IT: Even if you can do 1/4 to 1/2 of each exercise, we will consider it success! If routine is difficult where you are currently at, a good goal may be to be able to do full 20 minutes on day 30.
- I am calling it a 30 day challenge, but personally I will do 5 days/wk with 2 rest days (most often on the weekend) - feel free to do this or a full 30 days - Either way = success in my book!
Assignment:
- Read the post “What Could You Change in 30 Days?” if you’ve not done so already
- Register for the forum community and introduce yourself.
- Sign up to join in by replying to this post in the forum.
- If you’ve not done so, sign up with your email and receive my free report.(another way for me to be in touch with you)
- Mark your calendar for start date of May 3
- NOTE: Twitter Hashtag to keep in touch with the Celebrate Weight Loss community!

Ode to Shred

For 30 days you’ve kicked my butt
Intention being…to get out of my rut!
I began Day 1 with fear and dread
With good reason, I thought…the next day from my bed.
My muscles were tired, achy and sore
But with my Shred team behind me, I had to try more!
Day 2 was hard also…I’m not gonna lie
Please! Enough already! I can’t do one more fly!
Jill, it was rough…getting to know you week one
You weren’t all that nice. You weren’t really fun!
But we kept going, together we knew we would win
I’m among champions here - Veronica, Mette and Kim!
Day 8, week 2…hmmmm not SO bad
I’m feelin’ ya Jill…you don’t seem quite so mad.
3 weeks in, we were sailing…We’re doing this thing!
Jill, we’re increasing our weights! What else can you bring?
The last days were sad. Did I say that out loud?
I would miss my Team Shred…they’ve become my best crowd.
Jillian, I know I will see you again
My trouble zones need you…they’re greatful. Amen!
To my team, I solute you…the finish is sweet.
Cynthia, Andie and Amy…no greater gals will you meet!
I cannot end without mentions of these…
Ali and Lori, you ARE the bees knees!
The challenge is over, and so it would seem
But wait! There’s another…
