Day 9 is complete! We’re almost 1/3 of the way there friends! WooHoo! Keep it up!

By the way, I’m creating these videos with the Flip Camcorder – a really simple way to upload videos to YouTube and Facebook. You can also easily send via email cards to someone. Very fun! A must have if you are doing video by yourself (of yourself) is this cute little Flip Tripod

  4. Mette – oooooh! One and two! AMAZING!

    I agree with Paula – some days are definitely better than others. Yesterday, I was so focused on trying to keep up that my form was all over the place. So during today’s shred, I paid extra attention to not releasing the contraction on my biceps curls and holding a better squat during the rows. It was a little easier today. I even jumped on the stationary bike for an extra 10 minutes of cardio. And that pretty much did me in!

  5. So….yesterday I had a busy day…kids, halloween goodies, parties, picking up kids…helping friends out…and the day got away from me…and I missed my shred. I was truly bummed. Back on my game today and just finished shredding. Here’s my deal…I hate exercising. So, this is big for me….to have found something I enjoy. Making it fun. Looking forward to doing this every day! I think my goal by week 3 is to supplement this challenge with some treadmill work outs every other day. Thanks Paula!

  6. Hello Ladies,

    Just finishes Shred Day 9. I have to confess, I was not able to do Day 8, my 88 yr old mom, was in alot of pain and I needed to be with her. I had planned Shred in the evening. I was with my mom most of the evening.

    So, I want to encourage you all, if you are experiencing this as I am. Turn off the cell phones and the TV, get up an hour earlier, write the time as a goal when u are going to do Shred etc….. for me it was a disappointment not to do Day 8. I know Paula you have said this before, this has to be a goal in order for me to be intentional. I do not want my excuses to get in the way of something beneficial to me. If I take care of myself first and I am able to take care of others better. I always feel good after Shred, even if it can be challenging.

    Maria and Veronica – I love it that you KEEP GOING even if you miss a day – know what? That’s real life, right? πŸ˜‰ Huge lesson to learn for sure in my own weight loss journey. 1/2 step back sometimes – TWO steps forward! Keep going!

    Veronica I hope you mom is doing much better. Totally get your priorities right now and also appreciate your comments about being intentional.

  8. I didn’t much feel like doing anything, my right knee was crabby and my right arm hurt. So I left things until later than usual, but I did get to the pool and walk there. Unfortunately, I had an eating lapse after struggling, getting home and even making myself a healthy dinner. I didn’t get back online, hence the late update. I feel better today, though my arm is still sore. I am taking a lot of glucosamine/chondroitin plus MSM to keep the knee going.

  10. Arm is still iffy… I’m laying off on push-ups today as well. And trying not to be on the computer too much. But I got a good walk in, need to write up my post on that shortly.

    A neighbor kept me chatting afterward and standing on the slope of the street for another half hour just killed my feet. My arches can’t take that and are hurting something fierce now. So I’m sitting for the moment and hoping my feet will be OK tomorrow. If not, then it will have to be the pool again.

    Sure was nice weather out today! Clouds are rolling in though. Kind of a pretty look to the sky for sunset.
