I'm Steve
Hey folks, my name is Steve Klassen. I live up here in the Great Northwest with my wife Ivy, my mother-in-law Edna, and our 4 dogs (and cats - I think there are cats, too).
This was me at Christmas in 2004. We're guessing my weight was up over 400 lbs (425'ish?):

I worked hard, ate smaller more frequent meals, and got down to 300 lbs by 2006:

Then I took a professional services job, traveling 80% of the time and put 70 lbs back on:

After returning from a back-to-back trip in NYC and Denver I weighed in at 384 lbs. Mortified, I redoubled my efforts - reading on a low-carb diet (Protein Power) and some new strategies to avoid procrastination (The Now Habit). I left for a month to Dallas - the land without scales that will weigh anyone over 350 lbs.
I ate lo-carb, I worked out daily, and I took the stairs instead of the elevator (even in the hotel - on the 7th floor!). On returning, I found out that I had lost 22 lbs.

I'm here for the 30-day challenge, y'all. Let's do it!
